The challenge is how to capture the depth, the movement. In my abstract, acrylic paintings, water sometimes looks like water, but it also sometimes looks like space or sky. Honestly, it’s not something I always control. Some paintings just happen.

DESCRIPTION:
It's obvious, though I didn't think it until I saw the archival footage, but that huge mushroom cloud didn't just hover in the air over the Bikini Atoll forever. It slowly collapsed with the radioactive material falling inevitably on the ships there to observe and record. The sheer power and horror of those 1946 atomic tests is overwhelming.
